About Paws 4 Walking, Market Harborough
Paws 4 Walking was set up by husband and wife team Myles and Polly Garfield-Thomas in 2008. We had always had a love for animals and had previously owned four german shepherds, two jack russells and a rat named Snowy, so we decided to follow our passion and Paws 4 Walking was born.
Our Journey So Far
When we started the business, our aim was to offer a professional and reliable dog walking service within Market Harborough and the surrounding villages. Over the years this has grown from strength to strength. We now have a staff of twelve and offer additional services including home visits for a wide range of pets, specialist puppy visits, doggy day care, home boarding and house sitting.
In 2025 Myles decided to hang up his walking boots and the business was relaunched as Paws 4 Walking (Market Harborough), solely owned by Polly. It is run on a day-to-day basis by our wonderful administrator, Kristine, our supervisor and funny girl Becky, and, of course, our amazing dedicated walkers and boarders.
We, as a team, are passionate and committed to making a difference to the daily lives of both pets and their owners. We aim to exceed our customers’ expectations.

How can I make a booking?
Email kristine@paws4walking.co.uk or give us a call on 01858 682007 and we will check availability for you. If we are able to meet your requirements we will arrange to come and meet you and your pet(s) at a time that suits you, to discuss the services you need, run through our terms and conditions, answer questions you may have and complete our paperwork for insurance purposes. This is a free, no obligation meeting so that you can make sure we are the right fit for you and your pet(s). This is completed on a laptop so we do ask for internet access at this meeting.
Do you collect and drop off my dog
Yes, the cost for each walk includes pick up and drop off from your home in our safe vehicles. We will pick your dog up from your home and return them happy, relaxed and towel dried if it’s been a wet day! Our insurance covers us for holding your house key if required, which is kept safe and secure.
What do I need to provide alongside my dog during walks?
Please provide any toys your dog likes to take on walks and any of their favourite treats. All dogs must be wearing a collar with an I.D tag (this is a legal requirement). We will discuss their needs at our consultation meeting.
I would prefer my dog not to be let off the lead during walks.
That is absolutely fine, we can walk your dog on the lead only. This is covered in the consent section of the booking form we will run through with you at our consultation meeting.
Do you provide any discounts?
We offer discounts to multi dog households across all of our walking services, and discounts on home visits if you require more than one house visit per day.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured with Pet Buiness Insurance. For more information, please contact us.
Do you have any Terms and Conditions?
Yes, our full T&C’s are detailed here. At the initial consultation meeting we will add your information into our Pet Sitter Software which each staff member has access to.
How many walkers will my dog have?
Your dog will be introduced to up to 3 of our team, to ensure they know their routine should we need to cover holiday or sickness.
I would rather my pet didn’t appear on social media?
No worries at all. Each new customer completes a consent form prior to booking our services so you can let us know you don’t wish your pet to appear on social media.
How do I pay?
Your details and requirements are added into our Pet Sitter Software and an invoice along with a schedule will be emailed to you. This will include our bank details so you can pay by direct bank transfer.
Any other questions please feel free to drop us an email or give us a call. We’re always happy to help.

Adelle GrimleyMy husband and I (and fur babies) are relocating to Northumberland so sadly we have to cancel what has been a fantastic service with Paws 4 Walking. We’ve been thoroughly impressed with the brilliant service, the reliability of the booking team, and Jane who consistently visited our furry monsters for 7 years. It was great getting updates and pictures of them having tummy rubs whilst we were away, making us relax on our holidays. We will be leaving a note for the new owners of our house to advise them to use Paws 4 Walking should they decide to have any pets. Thank you so much P4W team!Posted on Google
Kelly WhiteoakCould not recommend P4W more highly. Secure, professional and flexible, I was reassured with how thorough the home assessment was and am delighted to receive updates when I'm away. My cat is extraordinarily shy so I'm always so impressed when the team send pictures of her looking happy and curious about who's in her house!Posted on Google
